Lyle Prussman

Lyle G. Prussman, 97, of Otis, CO passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. Viewing will be held from 2:00 - 6:00 p.m., Monday, July 24 at Chaney-Reager Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 25, at Trinity Lutheran Church with Reverend James R. Nash officiating. A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. at the Holyoke Memorial Cemetery in Holyoke, Colorado Lyle was born October 24, 1925, in Amherst, Colorado to William B. Prussman and Grace Marie Cordrey. He graduated from Holyoke High School and then joined the US Army in May of 1945 and was honorably discharged in December of 1946. Lyle was an elder and a very active member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Lyle farmed for most of his life, and he enjoyed hunting. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Lola, son Gene Prussman, stepdaughter Carol Adolph, and siblings Dale Prussman, Neal Prussman, Della Hoffmeister and Lena McGiveny. Lyle is survived by his wife Wilma Jean, children Julie Prussman, David Prussman, and Jan Rogers, stepchildren Richard Kelley, Dennis Kelley and wife Patricia, and Sandy Dauten and husband Dale, grandchildren Lyle Rogers and wife Kristi, and Sara Rogers-Wood and husband Dewain, great grandchildren Georgia, Natalie, Lola, and Lincoln. Memorial contributions may be made in Lyle's name to Trinity Lutheran Church, 732 Clark Street, Sterling, CO 80751.
