1938 - 2014

Ruby J. Serrato, 75, of Sterling, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, in Sterling. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, at Tennant Funeral Home with Vigil and Rosary Evening service following at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 12, at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Wojciech Gierasimczyk celebrating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery.

Ruby was born on June 8, 1938, in San Luis, to Silverio Joe Archuleta and Josephine Lacome. She married Frank Serrato on Jan. 24, 1959. They were married for 55 years. She was a fan of baseball and football. She was a Dodger fan since they were the Brooklyn Dodgers, and a Colorado Rockies fan. She also loved her Broncos.

She is survived by her husband, Frank; son, Gary and wife Pam of Sterling; daughter, Vicki Serrato of Lincoln; grandchildren, Jessica Williams and husband Jonathan of Bethany, Okla., Derek Serrato of Sterling, Steffanie Serrato of Oklahoma City; great-grandchildren, Emma and Taylor Williams, Shawn Serrato; sisters, Gloria Moreno of Sterling, Judy Brent and husband David of Aurora, Stella Wyatt of Sterling; brothers, Les Archuleta Sr. and wife Chris of Iliff, Ron Archuleta and wife Saundra of Atlanta; several nieces and nephews.
