Patsy J. Curry, 89, of Monticello, passed away at 12:40 p.m., Monday, August 11, 2025, at the Savoy Reflections Memory Care.
Patsy was born on October 25, 1935, in DeLand, IL. She was the daughter of Loren and Era (Wilson) Swartz. She married Dean Curry on January 14, 1978 in Monticello, IL.
Patsy is survived by her husband, Dean Curry of Monticello; son, Alan Clifton (Janet) of Waveland, IN; daughter, Gwyn Gissing (Scott) of St. Charles, MO; stepdaughter, Kimberly Billman (Tom) of Sidney; stepson, Tim Curry of Lockport; grandchildren, Megan, Ashley, Lana, Robert, Ethan, Morgan, Rachel, Sam, Dylan; great grandchildren, Kael, Kaedence, Colton, Olive, William, Jayse, Elijah, Piper, Grayson, Wesley, Esther, Owen, Silas, Jenson, Naomi, Chloe, Jude; and a brother Jack Swartz (Shirley) of Savoy. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Julie Clifton, sister's Beverly and Jill, and a brother Max.
Patsy was Manager at the Monticello Golf Club from 1977-1978 and worked in various clerical positions until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the Monticello Golf Club.
Visitation will be held from 12:00-2:00 p.m., Friday, August 15, 2025 at the Mackey-Wright Funeral Home, Monticello. After visitation a graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, in the Monticello Township Cemetery. A celebration of life will also be held at a later date.
