ADELINE WIEBUSCH Obituary
ADELINE WIEBUSCH
06/04/1924 - 10/03/2025
Adeline Wiebusch, 101, passed away on October 3, 2025, at the Ambassador in Nebraska City surrounded by her children.
Adeline Rose (Juilfs) Wiebusch was born on June 4, 1924, at rural Sterling, Neb., the daughter of John and Beatrice (Rowe) Juilfs. She lived in Dunbar, Talmage and the Nebraska City communities her entire life. She attended school in Talmage and Dunbar and was baptized and confirmed in Talmage as well. Adeline worked at St. Mary's Hospital and the sewing factory at a very young age. She met Bob (Albert) Wiebusch at a church function in Otoe, Neb., and they were married on November 18, 1942. They shared over 67 years of their lives together until Bob's passing on December 8, 2008.
As a farm wife, she helped with the chores, gardening, canning, running for tractor parts and raising the three children: Diane, Jerry and Julie. In her spare time, she helped in school and with 4-H. She was a member of Meet a While Extension Club and a long-time member of First Lutheran Church. At church, she helped with Sunday School, Circle, Funeral Activities and Sew N Sews. She and Bob loved playing cards and dancing to the big band music; especially polka. As the children grew older, she worked for Dr. C.E. Brown for some 16 years. Her greatest love was her family. Her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the one great-great grandson were the loves of her life and she enjoyed spoiling them with anything they wanted. As most of you know, the Wiebusch Family is a "bunch" of huggers and it all started with this lady.
She is survived by her children: Diane (Tom) Lant of Nebr. City, Jerry (Connie) Wiebusch of Lincoln and Julie (Arlyn) Werner of Syracuse; six grandchildren: Kelly (Jeff) Feuker, Carrie (Chris) Falcone, Brandi (Steve) Andersen, Lance (Trish) Wiebusch, Clint (Jen) Werner, Kylee (Taylor) Menke; 14 great-grandchildren with another due in November, one great-great grandson; a sister Ramona (Roger) Horky of Wilber, NE and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband Bob, she was preceded in death by an infant son Joseph, two sisters: Velva (Wayne) Mitchell and Rosalie (Harley) Shortridge; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Rose and Harold Halm and Minnie and Lester Schreiner; as well as her parents.
She will be truly missed and the family invites you to share Adeline's love with HUGS.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 10 at 10:30 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Nebraska City; burial will follow in the Wyuka Cemetery.
The family greeted friends Thursday, October 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City.
Memorials may be given to the First Lutheran Church in Nebraska City.
