Allison Beth Kallman Ware

Allison Beth Kallman Ware died peacefully at home in Granby on June 28, 2021, in the company of family and friends.

She was born on Aug. 30, 1967, and lovingly raised by her father, Dr. Herbert Kallman, in Bloomfield. Allison graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in landscape design; she had a love of the outdoors and took pride in her gardens. She also had a long career managing medical practices, including more than two decades with Dr. Jane Srinivasan in Bloomfield bringing children into the world. While in college, Allison met her soulmate for life, Michael Ware. Once out of school and gainfully employed, they were married on April 27, 1991. Nine years after the nuptials and against all odds, they were blessed with the birth of their son, Griffin.

Allison is survived by her husband and son, as well as brother, Allan Kallman, of Canton, Massachusetts; sister, Wendy Crownshaw of Torrington; cousins, Beth Kallman Werner and Amy Kallman Rebera; stepmother, Lynne Kallman; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves a close, well-curated circle of devoted friends who will miss her dearly; including her lifelong chosen family, Ethan Felson and Susan Messier. She was predeceased by her father as well as her mother, Cynthia Bercowetz.

Allison was strong willed and true to her ideals: Always try to be kind, never fail to be fair, live up to your word in both letter and spirit. She was steadfast in her friendships and uncompromising in her judgements.

Her family will receive friends on Saturday July 3, 2021, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home, 364 Salmon Brook St., Granby. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Granby Cemetery. The Ware family will receive friends to their home in Granby from 4 to 8 p.m.
