Benjamin C. Duff

Benjamin C. Duff, of Enfield, passed away on Dec. 4, 2011.

He was born in East Hodgdon, Maine, on May 1, 1933, the son of Hazel Woodcock Duff and Kenneth Duff. Ben retired from Maple Hill Farms Dairy of Bloomfield after 32 years. For many years Ben enjoyed tractor pulling as a member of the Antique Tractor Club, making many friendships, and was an avid cribbage player.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Ford Duff of 60 years; son, David and wife, Karen, of Canton, and their son, Zachery and fiancée, Jenny, of Colebrook; son, Philip and wife, Dove, of San Diego, Calif., and their sons, Morgan, Hayden, and daughter, Tammy; son, Rodney and friend, Lynn, of Enfield; daughter, Jane Deschenes and husband, Roy, and their sons, Steven, Kevin and wife, Audrey, and Kyle, of Windham, Maine; daughter, Janet and friends, Sally and Marge, Suffield; brother, Allen Duff of Littleton, Maine; sisters, Donna Tracy of Houlton, Maine, and Marilyn Kraft, Pacific Grove, Calif.; many nieces and nephews, friends, Lynda, Becky, and Heather. He was predeceased by brothers, Philip, Arnold, Willis, and sister, Evelyn.

The family wants to express their gratitude and sincere thanks to the staff at St. Francis Hospital and Blair Manor for the support and care given to Ben and family.

A celebration of Ben's life will be held on Saturday, Dec. 10, from 1 to 4 p.m. at 136 Green Manor Road, Enfield.
