She was born in Edwardsville, Pennsylvania, Sept. 19, 1913, moving to Hartford in 1927. In 1946, she married Walter J. Sierakowski and moved to Rockville, becoming part of the Sierakowski family and a communicant of St. Joseph Parish, where the family has belonged since 1905. Bernice and Walter were married 53 years, until his death in 1999. Bernice was a kind and caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will always be remembered for her enthusiastic embrace of life and family.

Bernice was fortunate indeed to live to 101 years of age and as an added bonus to have a loving patient son and supportive daughter in law. Bernice was very sociable by nature and Jean and I always enjoyed her office visits. She accepted decline associated with aging gracefully. She was very proud of her family. Jean and I express our heartfelt condolences.
