Brian Cyr Obituary
He was born Sept. 19, 1956, in Hartford, the son of Jerry and Betty (Plummer) Cyr of Tolland. Brian was a loving and devoted husband, father, and son who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on projects around his home and property. He was known as Mr. Fix-It as he had an uncanny ability to fix anything and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
Besides his loving wife, Laurie, of 24 years; Brian is survived by his beloved daughters, Aimee and Brooke Cyr of Willington; his in-laws, Warren and Eleanor Schreiber; brother-in-law, William McLellan; his close friends, John and Yvonne, Joe and Pat, Mark, Lyle; his sisters, Lynette McElroy and Jennine Hatch; several nieces and nephews, and all his beloved animals, especially his dogs and goats.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Jan. 7, 2010, at the Rockville United Methodist Church, 142 Grove St., Rockville, at 11 a.m. Burial will be private.
Relatives and friends may call at the church Thursday from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Labs4Rescue, P.O. Box 955, Killingworth, CT 06419, or to RUMC, 142 Grove St., Rockville, CT 06066.
The Tolland Memorial Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
