Carole Anne Snyder

Carole Anne (Smith) Snyder, 74, of South Windsor, loving wife of 55 years of Harold E. Snyder, peacefully passed away with her family at her side on Thursday, June 10, 2021, at home.

Carole was born on Dec. 13, 1946, in Scarborough Yorkshire, England, one of four children of the late Reuben W. and Joan (Griffiths) Smith. In addition to raising her family, Carole enjoyed bingo and visits to the casino, and she was an avid reader. She was known to read a book a day. She was a parishioner of St. Junipero Serra Parish and attended St. Margaret Mary Church in South Windsor.

In addition to her husband, Harold, she is survived by her three children, John Snyder and his wife, Bonnie, of East Windsor, Stephanie London, of East Hartford, and Carolyn Snyder and her fiancé, Rick Legnani, of Ellington; and her three loving and special grandchildren, Joseph Snyder, Caitlyn Snyder, and Julia Snyder. Carole also leaves her three siblings, John Smith and his wife, Marge, of Oshawa, Canada, Stephen Smith and his wife, Mary, of South Windsor, and Christine Kozlowski and her husband, Frank, of South Windsor; several nieces, nephews and their families; and many wonderful friends.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road in South Windsor on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Road, South Windsor. Burial will follow in Wapping Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
