Carolyn Trojanowski
Carolyn (Muzzy) Trojanowski, 82, was called home to God on February 19, 2025. She was a woman whose life was marked by simplicity, kindness, and an unwavering love for her family, and she will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born on September 1, 1942, in Hartford, CT, Carolyn was the eldest of eight children, born to the late George and Claire (Wondoloski) Muzzy. She grew up in a family where she learned the values of hard work, loyalty, and the importance of family bonds.
Carolyn held various jobs over the years, including a role at the local radio station, WNTY, in Southington, before spending 22 years at Aetna Insurance, where she retired as a Commission Analyst. Carolyn was known for her diligence, dedication, and warm-hearted nature. She was often regarded as someone you could count on, whether at work or in her personal life.
Carolyn found her true fulfillment in the simpler pleasures of life. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children, grandchildren, and siblings. Conversations over coffee, shared meals, and moments of laughter filled her life with happiness. Carolyn took immense pride in her role as a mother and grandmother. Her love for family was evident in the care she gave to others, from making her famous homemade pierogies for holiday gatherings to offering a warm embrace or a listening ear to anyone in need.
In her quieter moments, Carolyn found peace in the comfort of reading newspapers, doing crossword puzzles, and listening to the radio. Her simplicity was never without depth-she appreciated the small things in life that brought peace and joy. Carolyn's warmth and kindness radiated to everyone around her, making her beloved by all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to inspire and guide those she loved.
Carolyn is survived by her children: Lori Salina and her husband Kenneth of Tolland, and Mark Trojanowski and his wife Kelli of Pinehurst, NC, her sisters, Cindy Levesque and Gail Levesque; and her grandchildren, Kevin, Allie, Ashley, Jami, and Taylor. She also leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Kai, Zoie, and Rhett, as well as many nieces and nephews who cherished her deeply.
Carolyn was predeceased by her siblings: George Muzzy, Bobby Muzzy, Lois Hetu, Lenny Muzzy, and Linda Poulin.
In honoring Carolyn's wishes, services will be private. The family asks that, in lieu of flowers, you take a moment to celebrate her memory by appreciating the simple joys in your own life, as Carolyn so often did.
The D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel was entrusted with her care.
