Charles C. Bradley, Sr., 86, of Floral City, Florida, and Coventry, passed away peacefully on Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at St. Mary's Nursing Home after a brief illness.

Charles was born in Hartford Hospital on Nov. 27, 1934, and graduated from Manchester High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army and National Guard. Charles was a 63-year member of IBEW Union 35, where he worked for 42 years as an electrician until his retirement. He was an active member of the Sphinx Omar Temple. He was also a 32nd Degree member of the Freemasons. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing, clamming, and hunting.

Charles is survived by his wife Betty J. Bradley, to whom he was married for 41 years; his daughter, Joanne Comerford and her husband, Mark of Coventry; son Charles C. Bradley, Jr. and his wife, Lisa of Ashford; brothers, Albert Bradley of Coventry, Lewis Bradley of Mansfield, Glenn Bradley and his wife, Ann of Coventry, his sister-in-law, Sally Bradley (wife of his late brother Rev. Raymond H. Bradley, II); two stepdaughters, Darlene Krukar and her husband, John, and Pam Wright; stepson David Linderson and his wife, Janet. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren, who he loved dearly.

There will be a Celebration of Life service in Coventry, on Oct. 2, 2021, at 2 p.m., at the Second Congregational Church UCC. A private reception for family members will follow.

So sorry to hear about Charlie's passing. We were friends for years and had the greatest times sitting together with others at many Elks functions. We got to know many of his family also. Our kids enjoyed being with Joanne and Chuck.
