Christine Moreau Obituary
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of the late Eric and Yvonne (Richard) Collette, she grew up in Hartford and lived in Ellington before moving to Vernon in 2001. Prior to her retirement in 2011, Christine was employed by the state of Connecticut as a dental assistant for 20 years. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her beloved children, Maurice Moreau Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Vernon, Michelle Miles and her husband, John, of Vernon, and Mark Moreau and his partner, Gary Kilmer, of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren, that she adored, Ryan and Chad Moreau, and Gabriel and Joshua Miles, all of Vernon; two sisters, Jeannette and Jacqueline Collette of Vernon; three brothers, Leonide Collette and his wife, Rose-Mae, of New Brunswick, Canada, Joseph Collet of Mount Holly, Vermont, and Paul Collette of Ellington; and numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Monday, July 7, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon.
Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard Terrace, Rockville. Burial will follow in Valley Falls Cemetery, Vernon.
Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook Street, I-91 Tech Ctr., Rocky Hill, CT 06067.

I had the great honor to work along side Chris at Enfield CI for many years she was a wonderful person who I loved dearly. My saddest heartfelt condolences to her loving family. She is at rest now and I will keep her in my daily prayers.

Chris did not see a division between Dental and Medical...she was a team player who could play on any team. To her daughter and sons; take solace in knowing what a great asset your mother was to her correctional family. She was a special person.
