Claire Skaradowski Obituary

Claire A. Skaradowski, R.N., 89, formerly of Robert Circle, Cranston, R.I., died Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Glastonbury Health Center.

Born in Jewett City, a daughter of the late Louis and Leontine (Roi) Masse. She was the wife of the late John M. Skaradowski and had lived in Cranston for over 50 years. She was a graduate of the St. Francis School of Nursing in Hartford and was a member of their Alumnae Association. She was a former member of the Daughters of Isabella, St. Paul Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Charlene A. Kneath of Cranston, and Mrs. Thomas (Ruthey E.) Nicholas of South Windsor; 2 sons, John M. Skaradowski of Franktown, Colo. and Roy E. Skaradowski of Cranston; a sister, Sr. Therese Masse, DHS, of Putnam; 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was mother of the late Paul Skaradowski and sister of the late Daniel, Robert, Louis, Fr. Gerard Masse, Estelle Hassler, Marie Anna Ledoux, Charlotte and Marsella Masse and Ruth Furlong.

Funeral Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the Stapleton-Barry-Holdredge Funeral Home, 684 Park Ave., Cranston, with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Paul Church at 10 a.m.

Her life will be celebrated with calling hours Tuesday 5 to 7 p.m.
