As the father of my dearest friend Kathy of over 50 years, I came to know Bud well. I thought of him as a second dad. He always had a warm greeting for me when I came through the door and offered his home as a welcoming place for me to stay as often and as long as I was able. The long conversations we shared in the living-room will always be remembered. He always showed interest in my life; giving advice when needed, solace during my sad times, endless encouragement, and genuine pride in my successes. I will miss him dearly.
