Florence Arthofer Obituary
Florence was born in Randolf, Massachusetts, on July 24, 1923, daughter of Carl Iver Johnson and Alida (Tangen) Johnson. She came to the Hartford area as a young child and had been a resident of Manchester since 1956. She retired from the claims department at The Hartford Insurance Company after 26 years of service, and had previously worked for the former G. Fox department store in Hartford. She was a member of the Manchester and Enfield senior citizen centers.
She is survived by her loving son, Rudolph F. Arthofer III, of Enfield; two grandchildren, Rudolph F. Arthofer IV and his wife, Shelly, of Menlo Park, California, and Jennifer Noe, of Farmington; and two great-grandchildren.
She was buried alongside her husband in East Cemetery, Manchester. Services were private.
Holmes Funeral Home, Manchester, had care of arrangements.
