Gary McGuire Obituary
Gary was born June 12, 1939, in Hartford. He was happiest spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He would take them on day trips or mini vacations in his RV. You could always find Gary at Hav Mor Market, playing the lottery or getting scratch tickets. He presently was employed as a bus driver for the Windsor Locks Senior Citizens. Prior to his retirement he was an operations manager for Dave's Motor Transportation and a retired Teamster for Local 671. He drove for Fournier's Express, Yellow Freight, and Vallerie Trucking. He was past president of the Windsor Locks Senior Club. He was a member of CERT, a board member of CONA; and the Housing Authority in Windsor Locks. He found enjoyment in helping the seniors of the town.
He leaves behind his children, John and Bonnie McGuire of South Windsor, Kevin and Susie McGuire of Manchester, Deborah and Scott Foster of Windsor Locks, and Scott and Lisa McGuire of East Hampton; his grandchildren, Matthew and Zachary McGuire, Joseph and Megan McGuire, Nathaniel, Danny, and Becca Foster, and Racheal McGuire. He also leaves behind his brother, Martin and Katie McGuire of South Carolina; and sister, Elizabeth Ellis of Windsor Locks; and sister-in-law, Kathie Hunter of Windsor Locks; his furry children, Rocky and Gracie Mae; his extended family, Nassir Malik and family of Texas and Helen Rachel of Windsor Locks. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Natalie (Ambukiewicz); brothers, Terrence and Richard; and sister, Peggy. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and friends.
Relatives and friends can join the family during visiting hours on Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Windsor Locks Funeral Home, 441 Spring St., Windsor Locks. A funeral procession will gather on Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home for a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Memorial donations in memory of Gary may be made to Our Companions Animal Rescue, Attn: Sue Linker, P.O. Box 956, Manchester, CT 06045-0956.

To lose a loves one is hard
can feel like the saddest and loneliest of times
Jesus sends us friends
to remind us that love never dies
God's love can be found
for His love is so real
Love does not replace a love
it just adds to it
Believe in God's Love
for He always has you in mind
He knows every precious tear you shed
For when Jesus said IT IS Finished
He knew the rest would be alright
