George Pippin Obituary

George B. Pippin
George B. Pippin, 67, of Stafford Springs, CT, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. He was born in Landstugl, Germany, son of the late George, Jr. and Marjorie (O'Brien) Pippin. George worked for the State of Connecticut Department of Transportation for many years.
George was an avid reader of everything- motorcycles, cars and current events. Volkswagens were a particular favorite. Triumph and BMW were among his favorite brands for his 2-wheel obsession. He enjoyed planning motorcycle trips and always led his friends on new adventures and rural mountain roads, deeply appreciating the simple things life had to offer. Many great memories were created at Americade in Lake George, NY. George was amazing at engaging people in conversation and had the gift of bringing people together. He valued people and the gift of time, which he gave freely, often visiting the homebound.
He took immense pleasure in sharing his love of hockey with his nieces and nephews by taking them to Hartford Whaler Hockey Games as well as the Springfield teams. He later became a fan of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Additionally, he enjoyed going to auto races locally and following the Modified Racing Series. He loved the outdoors and camping in everything from tents to travel trailers.
George was most content spending time in Daytona Beach, FL, listening to live music by the water and attending Bike Week. He treasured the time he spent with his brother-in-law, Tim. George loved animals, especially Sandy, his special pup. He enjoyed the company of friends met through the animal rescue and enjoyed when the group gathered to exercise their dogs.
George is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Mary (Hiller) Pippin; siblings, Leonard Pippin and his wife, Stephanie, Daniel Pippin and his wife, Monica, Carol Spallacci and her husband, Tony; mother-in-law, Eleanor Hiller; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard and Kim Hiller, Robert J., Jr. and Sharon Hiller, William J. Hiller, Sr., Susan Dombek, Timothy and Susan Hiller, and Nancy and James Krupienski; special cousins, Kathy Aborn and her husband, Jeff, and Norman Banks and his wife, Kathleen, David and Francesca Gregori; close friends, Roger Chenard, who always went with George on motorcycle trips, and Jerry Works and his wife, Cindy; special nephew and niece, Stephen and Christina Spallacci (Jace, Addy and Lola); and many additional nieces and nephews.
Mary and Sandy thank Susan Dombek and Norman Banks for being the calm in the storm. Cathryn Carroll, RN, for her kindness and compassion The VNA of Vernon, especially Eileen Markowski. Special thanks to David Mocarsky for speaking, friends and neighbors who visited often and shared encouragement, thoughts and prayers.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 8 Church St., Stafford Springs, CT. Burial will take place privately. DEAN A BAUER

Yesterday

George and I met through his wife Mary. Mary and I volunteer at PawSafe animal Rescue, and we would often meet to let our pups run together if Mary was working. Although it was a short time we knew each other, it was as if we had known each other for a lifetime, never silence during our visit. We talked just about every from oil prices to cars. I've never had a friend like George, and me and the dogs will miss him immensely. Till we meet again.
