Henry Robert Sullivan, 95, of Newington, died peacefully on Monday, October 27, 2025, at Riverside Health & Rehabilitation Center in East Hartford. He was born in Hartford, CT, on August 22, 1930, son of the late Patrick D. and Frances (Callahan) Sullivan.
Henry grew up in Hartford, went to St. Michael's School, and was a graduate of Weaver High School with the Class of 1949. He excelled in gymnastics and was the lead gymnast on the Weaver High School team. Henry had a love for music and was a percussionist throughout school and played in a trio later on.
He lived in Hartford until 1960 when he moved to Newington. He was a former parishioner of St. Michael's Church in Hartford and Church of the Incarnation in Wethersfield. Henry worked for the CT Dept. of Transportation for 40 years, before his retirement in 1995. In his retirement he worked part-time driving a school bus. Henry enjoyed his car and helping his sister with her landscaping. A kind, caring, loving and devoted brother, uncle, great uncle, and friend, he will be dearly missed.
He leaves his sister, Annamae Davis of South Windsor and a special niece and her family who helped care for Henry over the past nine years, Sharon Cammilleri and her husband Joe of South Windsor and their son, Ryan Courey and his wife Krystiana. He also leaves many nieces and nephews who knew him as "Uncle Hank", the Keegan Clan, Thomas, Kathi, Peter, Mary, and Eileen; the Sullivan Clan, Gene, Susan, Kelly, Dan, John, and Christine, and the Dunn Clan, Jim, and Sharon. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Keegan, his brother, Frank "Nick" Sullivan, and his nephew, Eddie Sullivan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 8, 2025, 10 a.m., at St. Margaret Mary Church, 80 Hayes Rd., South Windsor. His family will receive friends prior to the Mass at church from 9-10 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery in East Hartford.
