Jacques Rioual Obituary
Born in Brittany, France, on March 21, 1949 in the city of Concarneau. Throughout his life, Jacques was proud of his Breton heritage and today the skies of Brittany weep at his passing, as do the hearts of the many who loved him. "Breizh Da Viken". Jacques graduated from Conard High School in West Hartford in 1967 and was a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps serving during the Vietnam War from 1968-1970. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service after 18 years and most recently worked as a valet driver for Westside Valet Parking in East Granby.
He leaves his parents, Jean and Marie Rioual of Windsor; three brothers, Max and his wife, Barbara Rioual of Southington, Claude Rioual of New Britain, and Michael and his wife, Cheryl Rioual of Windsor Locks; two nieces, Denise and her husband, Jonathan Laughlin, and Brigit Rioual; five nephews, Brett, Luc, Sean, Robert, and James Rioual; and numerous relatives in France.
The funeral will be held Thursday, August 10 at 9:15 a.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church, 1747 Poquonock Ave., Poquonock Section of Windsor. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery with military honors.
His family will receive friends Wednesday, August 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 1004, Meriden, CT 06054-1004.

Deepest Sympathy to The Rioual Family on the loss of Jacques. We were so shocked to hear of his accident. Jacques was a unique and kind person, we always enjoyed his company. We will miss him. May he rest in peace. Peace and prayers to his family.
