Loving Son, Brother, Father, Uncle, Grandfather James Donald (Jim) Lavallee, 65, passed away surrounded by love on December, 26, 2023 at St. Francis hospital.
Jim was the third child born to Lionel (John) Lavallee and Joan Trotter Lavallee, February 6th, 1958, in Hartford, CT. Jim grew up in Rockville with his mother, Joan, and his dad, David Davis.
Jim was a bit of a rebel and lived life to the fullest. Jim had been a truck driver, limo driver, stockbroker, and executive in the corrugated business. Jim loved his Boston Red Sox team and any good close NFL football game. He was a friend to any and all dogs but especially his favorite boy, Beau. He loved to fish with his family or just hang out at the boat launch by the river. He would often walk several miles through wooded trails or field tracks with a tight knit group of friends to stay in shape. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Jim is survived by his mother, Joan Davis of Vernon, CT, his daughter Sarah Mahoney, and her husband Kevin, of Manchester, CT, son David Lavallee of Manchester, CT, brother Robert Lavallee and wife Kimberly of New Bern, NC, sister Karen Lynch and her life partner Kim Goldich of, Rockville, CT, brother Raymond Lavallee and husband Dave of Cathedral City, CA, brother Douglas Davis of Rockville, CT, brother John Lavallee and wife Candy of Gilette, WY, brother Russell Davis and wife Lisa of Waterbury, CT, grandchildren Alex and Araya of Manchester, CT; and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by his Father Lionel (John) Lavallee, 1994, and his Dad, David J. Davis, 2013.
Visiting hours will be 4-6pm on Tuesday, January 2, 2024 with a Funeral Home Service at 6:00pm at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, Connecticut. There will be a celebration of life immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to an animal shelter or the Humane Society.
