Joseph Drenga Obituary
He was born June 19, 1932, in Middletown, the son of the late John and Caroline (Spiwak) Drenga. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of St. Joseph Church. His ministries included lector, extraordinary Eucharistic minister, and scripture study teacher. He was a Secular Franciscan and an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Joseph Drenga, Christina Drenga, Rita Smith and her husband, Everett, Maria Drenga, and John Drenga and his wife, Jill; his brother, George Drenga; and his grandchildren, Gabrielle, Christopher, Rachael, Jessica, Katelyn, Alyssa, Andrew, Melany, and Catie.
Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 6, 2013, at the Burke-Fortin Funeral Home, 76 Prospect St., Rockville, CT 06066.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at St. Joseph Church, 33 West St., Rockville, CT 06066. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Rockville.
