Julia Gworek Obituary
Julia was born in Windsor Locks April 26, 1919, the daughter of Julius and Eugenia (Luchessi) Longo. She was raised in Windsor Locks, came to Manchester during the 1940s, and had been employed by the U.S. Department of Defense prior to retiring. Julia was a former member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, the Shrine Ladies, and the Daughters of the Nile.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patricia A. and Milton G. Shaw of Hebron; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; her brother, John Longo of Louisville, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters and a brother, Lorreta Beebe, Mary Weinstock, and Gene Longo.
Her family would like to thank the staff at Fox Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and North Central Hospice of Vernon for their care and compassion to Julia.
There are no services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Children Hospital, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA 01104, or a charity of the donor's choice.
The Holmes Funeral Home in Manchester has care of arrangements.

I wish I could speak to you now, I wish I knew you when you were young, I wish I knew our familial history more, and I wish I had a place to mourn your loss. My Nonnie and Papa, I think of you both often, even though I was young, I can still remember your faces. I try to live my life in a way you'd approve. I hope you do.

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your Mother. I knew her and your father through my grandparents, Alfred and Nancy Vennard. She was a great lady .

I knew Julie and Frank thru my mother and Aunt, Elsie Tannenbaum and Anne Williams. They spent alot of time at Groton Long Point over 20 years ago. Sorry to hear of your loss.
