My deepest sympathy goes out to Karen's family. Karen was known as "Smiley" to my family because of the unique signature she used on all of her cards and notes, and she sent many of them. She was one of my dearest friends and a wonderful person to know. She will be truly missed.

To Karen's family,
Karen was a wonderful person with a great sense of humor and a huge amount of courage. It must have comforted her so much to have the strong support of her family during these last months. She will never be forgotten and will be carried in your hearts forever.
