Marie Archetti

Marie (Simard) Archetti, 76, beloved wife of Vincent "Jimmy" J. Archetti, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2009, at Johnson Memorial Hospital, Stafford Springs.

She was born on Nov. 3, 1932, in Van Buren, Maine, daughter of the late Joseph and Elma (Pelletier) Simard, and had resided in Enfield for the past 36 years. Prior to her retirement, Marie was employed with Hi-G in Windsor Locks for many years and later with the Enfield Board of Education. She enjoyed crocheting, shopping for her grandchildren, traveling with her husband, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.

Besides her husband of 35 years, Vincent, Marie is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Lucille and Chris Breault and June and Cecil Drew, her daughter-in-law, Linda Waldron, all of Maine; her stepson, Major Ralph Archetti and his wife, Melissa, and her stepdaughter; Susie Frothingham and her husband, George, of Enfield; her seven beloved grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, Marie was predeceased by an infant daughter, Ellen Waldron, and a son, Bruce Waldron (2008), five brothers, and two sisters.

Funeral services for Marie will be held on Monday, March 2, 2009, with the funeral procession forming at 9 a.m. from Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, to St. Patrick Church for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield.

Marie's family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, March 1, 2009, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels.
