Mary Borowski Obituary

Mary Lou (Wagner) Borowski, 78, lifelong resident of Enfield, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital.

She was born July 7, 1939, in Springfield, daughter of the late Paul and Harriet (Hulburd) Wagner. Mary Lou was employed for Kaman, from where she retired after 14 years. She was active at Enfield Senior Center, as well as Moose Lodge in Chicopee, Massachusetts, and was a member of Kaman Travel Club. She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, shopping, and reading, but her true joy was in spending time with her family.

Mary Lou is survived by two children, Lynn Ann Blair and her husband, Todd, of Enfield, John J. Borowski III and his wife, Darlene, of Enfield; a brother, Paul Wagner of Suffield; a sister, Elizabeth "Zan" O'Goley of Suffield; a sister-in-law, Jennie Danoff of Vacaville, California; four grandchildren, Shauna Marie Borowski, Jessica Blair, Josh Borowski, and Madeline Borowski; and three step-grandchildren, Ashley Skrabely, Heather Skrabely, and Rebecca Skrabely. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family; and countless friends. She was predeceased by her former husband, John Borowski; two daughters, Paula Borowski and Michele Borowski; a sister, Pauline Magleora; a granddaughter, Paula Marie Clemente; three brothers-in-law, Robert O'Goley, Nelson Magleora, John Danoff; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Peter and Czeslawa Borowski.

Friends and family may gather for visitation from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with a funeral service following at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 13, at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mary Lou may be made to the Simon Foundation, 120 Rescue Lane, Bloomfield, CT 06002.

I am so very saddened at the news of your mother's passing. She was like a beacon of sunshine and happiness whenever I would see her at my mom's.
