Mary Eileen Medeiros

Mary Eileen Medeiros, 80, of Manchester, beloved wife of Andy Medeiros, died peacefully Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017.

Eileen was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, to the late Charles and Mary Catherine Santis. She was raised in Pawtucket and settled in Manchester with her husband, Andy. Eileen was a dedicated employee of Manchester Hospital for 28 years, where she worked as an administrative assistant. After her retirement, Eileen was a dedicated volunteer at the Church of the Holy Family, the Manchester Hospital Cancer Center, and East Catholic High School.

In addition to her loving husband, Andy, of 60 years, Eileen leaves behind her sons, Wayne Medeiros and his wife, Sylvia, of Manchester and Robert Medeiros of Ohio; her daughter, Kimberly Bernard and her husband, Viktor, of Newington; as well as her grandchildren, Jacqueline Medeiros, Maureen Beaelau and her husband, Joseph, Mario Medeiros, and Nicholas Medeiros. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren, Isaac and Isabelle; step-granddaughters, Rachel, Lara, and Hannah Bernard; as well as her sister, Ann Entwistle of Rehoboth, Massachusetts; and sister-in-law, Doris Booth of New Jersey.

The family is eternally grateful to Eileen's loving neighbor, Diane Kyle, who served as her caretaker in her final days.

A funeral Mass will be held Nov. 25, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Holy Family, 185 Church St., Amston, with a luncheon to follow in the church hall.
