Skip,
The memories we have with you in Febuary are priceless. Im so glad we got to spend that time with you. Im also very happy you got to spend some time with Danica. Please watch over all of us and give Cathy-Jo a kiss for us which im sure you already did. Thank you so much for all your love and the time we got to spend with you here on earth.
Matante Ginette,
When you feel that gentle breeze in the middle of the night on your cheek it's just Skip telling you he's with you. Our memories are so very dear and we will see him on the other side..
Love and Miss you so very much,

We are so sorry to hear of Skip's passing. He was a good man and an even better husband. He loved you so very much. I know that he is watching over you and always will. I wish I was able to give the two of you more time together. In time, the tears will be replaced with smiles of memories of a life well lived. If there is anything I can do for you, please call and let me know. You will be in our thoughts and prayers. I love you, Matante Ginette.

Ginette dear: I hope this poem will bring you comfort:
Little did I know this morning that God was going to call your name.
In life I loved you dearly, in death I do the same.
It broke my heart to lose you, you did not go alone.
For part of me went with you the day God called you home.
You left me peaceful memories, your love is still my guide and though I cannot see you, you are always at my side.
The family chain is broken and nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us, one by one, the chain will link again.
Love, Elinor (Kniffin)

Dear Ginette, John, Lisa, and Kelly,
My heart goes out to you, and all the family who loved Skip so much. He was a great cousin, and just a wonderful guy. I am so glad that I had the chance to see him again at our reunion summer before last. He will always be loved and missed. I know that we all have wonderful memories, ( some of mine are all those Thanksgivings and summer picnics up at "the big house", running through the sprinklers, playing croquet and hide and seek when we were kids), but certainly yours are the sweetest Ginnette. The one thing that we all knew was that he was just crazy about you and you made him so very happy. I hope that you will always be comforted by that.
Love,
Hilary

Please don't cry because I'm gone
For I am just away.
I did not die and never will
I'm with you everyday.
It's true that I have left the earth
And live in spirit here.
With a peace and love I can't explain
I'm happy, have no fear.
Who I was, I still am now
Even better than before.
Heaven holds such beauty here
With mountains, trees, and more.
Please don't cry, just speak of me
The way you use to do.
Make our memories happy ones
That hug and comfort you.
Remember me with happiness
Don't grieve because I'm gone
In heaven I am growing still
And my life continues on
Please don't cry because I share
All you say and do.
In every moment of everyday
Our love is with you too!
I know our Cathy Jo is in safe hands now with Skip. We couldn't of picked anybody better than him..
Love and Miss You Skip

Ginette & Family,
I don't know where the first posting went to in the Journal Inquirer's cyberspace but as I always say, "Everything happens for a reason" so I guess what was first posted was not what was meant to be said.
Maury was very near and dear to my heart as well as my family's. He was a very special person that had the knack and foresight to touch each and every person he met. I know how heavy my heart is right now and can't even fathom what your hearts must be feeling.
I have clung to the following words throughout some of the hardest reality times in my life and can just picture Maury telling me -- "Hey KID, it's time to speak those words again" so here goes:
To Those I Love, and Those Who Love Me:
When I am gone, release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears
Be happy that we had so many years.
I gave you my love, you can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown.
But now it's time I traveled on alone.
So grieve awhile for me if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It's only for a while that we must part,
So keep the memories within your heart.
I won't be far away, for life goes on,
So if you need me .. call ... and I will come.
Though you can't see or touch me, I'll be near,
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear . .
All of my love around you soft and dear.
And then when you must come this way alone,
I'll greet you with a smile and say,
"Welcome Home"
God Bless You Maury!!
Until we meet again,

Ginette, I hope the love that still surrounds you, helps get you thru this difficult time. The best that can be said about a man upon his passing is that those who knew him felt honored & blessed to have crossed his path. Skip, you will be missed, thank you for everything! Give Mom a hug for me.

****************************
When I left this world without you
I know it made you blue.
Your tears fell so freely,
I watched; I know this is true.
While you were weeping
Days after I passed away-
While all was silent within me,
I saw you kneel to pray.
From this wonderful place called heaven
Where all my pain is gone,
I send a gentle breeze to whisper,
"My loved ones, please go on"
The peace that I have found here
Goes far beyond compare
No rain, no clouds, no suffering-
Just LOVE from everywhere.
You need not be troubled
Just stay close to GOD in prayer
Someday we'll be reunited
My love, HIS love surrounds you always,
EVERYWHERE!
