Nelson Moore Obituary
1936 - 2024
Nelson Gene Moore, 88, of Vernon, formerly of Hebron, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024. He was born on May 29, 1936, in North Braddock, PA, the son of the late Glenn and Martha Moore.
Nelson is survived by this wife of 65 years Marianne Richter Moore; his children Christina (Dan) Keune, Douglas (Doreen) Moore, Gregory (Celeste) Moore, and Shannon Richter; his grandchildren James Keune, Amanda (Brendan) Keune-Percy, Leanne Moore, and Logan Moore; his great-grandchildren Noel Percy and Joy Percy; and his sister Andrea Gigliotti.
Nelson was predeceased by his son Kenneth Moore, grandson Maitland Moore, sister Elizabeth Weightman, and brother Glenn Moore.
His family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, December 20, 2024, at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 30 Church Street, Hebron at 10:00am with a Celebration of Life to follow at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Noel C. Percy Special Needs Trust care of Amanda Keune-Percy Trustee, 10 Jolly Road, Ellington, CT 06029.

There wasn't a sweeter gentleman than Nelson. I so appreciate all his kindnesses while we were at St. Peter's and I know everyone there will miss him forever. Warm condolences to Marianne and the family.

Way back more years than I care to remember, Nelson, Marianne, and some other neighbors came banging on our door early one Sunday morning. They had decided that my wife Carol and I were going to go to St. Peter´s Church with them. There was no arguing with Nelson, so we gathered up our two kids and off we went. And we never looked back. Thank you Nelson for always being there. You were a true friend.

My condolences to the Moore family, Mr. Moore was a great man and the nicest landlord going back to the 1980's when I started my family. God bless you all in this time of sadness.
