Patricia Ann (Malone) Braunstein
Patricia Ann (Malone) Braunstein, 83, of Ellington, CT, beloved wife of the late Timothy L. Braunstein, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Friday, November 7, 2025, surrounded by her children.
Born January 1st, 1942 in Augusta, Maine, to the late Joseph and Annette (Poulin) Malone, Patricia attended Cony High School. She met the love of her life, Timothy, at a party on a Navy base in Maine-it was truly love at first sight. After marrying, they settled in Connecticut, where they raised their three children and built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless cherished memories.
Patty maintained many lifelong friendships from her childhood, which she treasured dearly. She was the best mother anyone could ask for-always offering wise advice, unwavering support, and unconditional love. She took immense pride in her children's accomplishments and was their biggest cheerleader in every stage of life.
Affectionately known as "Mimi" she was adored not only by her grandchildren but also by many other children whose lives she touched over the years. Patty had a gift for making everyone feel special-whether through a warm hug, a thoughtful gift, or her endless kindness. Mimi and Grampy's home was a place of warmth, laughter, and unconditional acceptance, a gathering spot where all felt welcome. Patricia was a lifelong devote Catholic, strong in her beliefs, and comforted by her faith in her final days.
In addition to her parents, Patricia was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, Timothy, her brother Raymond Malone, and several dear friends who meant the world to her.
She is survived by her loving children: Thomas Braunstein of Ellington, Bethany Braunstein of Vernon, and Kathryn Adams and her husband Chad of Ellington; her cherished grandchildren Zachary, Paige, Rileigh, Mackenzie, Alexander; her great-grandchildren Neveah, Liam, and Olivia; her brother, James Malone, of August ME, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends. Oreo, her feline companion of 17 years, already misses her cuddles and the many daily treats she spoiled him with.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Blessed Sacrament Parish, St Bernard Church, 25 St. Bernard's Terrace, Vernon, CT, on Thursday, November 13, 2025, 11 a.m. Please meet directly at the church. Burial will be private at the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown, where she will be reunited with her beloved husband. There will be no calling hours.
