Raymond Ginolfi Obituary

Raymond R. Ginolfi died peacefully at the Residence at South Windsor Farm Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022.

Ray was born to Katherine Lepter and Michael Ginolfi Sr. on July 18, 1918, (that's right 1918!) and was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Pagani Ginolfi whom he was married to for 68 years. Uncle Ray, as he was known to relatives, was officially older than sliced bread, and was born when Woodrow Wilson was the president and the year the French Dip sandwich was created. Having lived through two solar eclipses and two pandemics, Ray certainly had a complete life.

Ray was predeceased by his sisters Lorraine, Betty and Rita; and by his brother and Best Friend Michael Ginolfi Jr. Ray was survived by his sister-in-law Margaret Ginolfi; and the many nieces and nephews that he and Carolyn had and they were kind and giving to all of them in many ways.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at The Residence at South Windsor Farms for their compassionate and loving care of Ray for the last several years.

Services will be private.

I remember many years ago,
a couple after his wife passed, he told me that he wished she would drop a rope down from heaven and pull him up to her. They're finally together now. God has a plan for everyone, but he was just waiting to be with his sweet Carolyn again.
