Rita Cote Obituary

Rita G. (Francoeur) Cote, 89, of Enfield, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert J. Cote.

Born on Sept. 25, 1932, in Berlin, New Hampshire to the late Ovila and Bertha (Theriault) Francoeur. Rita was a longtime resident of Enfield. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. A very giving person she was always helping others, volunteered at St. Joseph's Residence, enjoyed doing crafts and sewing, walking the Enfield Square Mall where she made many friends, she made an awesome French meat pie and potato fudge was a tradition.

Rita is survived by three loving children, Doreen Pyrek and husband, Chris, Gary Cote, and Lisa Jordan all of Enfield; her six beloved grandchildren, Karen, Aimee, Ian, Samantha, Brenden, and Bailee; and six cherished great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Roland and Raymond Francoeur; three sisters Jeannette Roy, Therese Steffen, and Paulette Lafrance; along with many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother Richard Francoeur and a sister Doris Arguin.

Relatives and friends may gather with her family on Thursday, Dec. 16, from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by a Prayer Service at Browne Memorial Chapels, Enfield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Patrick's King Street Cemetery, Enfield.
