Rita (Pepin) Della Rocco of South Windsor and formerly of Windsor, beloved wife of the late Richard Della Rocco, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021.

Born in Hartford daughter of the late Albert and Annette Pepin, she was raised in Windsor where she graduated from the former John Fitch High School in 1950. She was employed by Combustion Engineering/ABB for 24 years before retiring. She was a longtime member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish, St. Gabriel Church. Family was the center of Rita's life.

She is survived by her son Keith and his wife, Jeanine Della Rocco of Windsor; two daughters Denise Della Rocco of Holiday, Florida; and Nancy Cavanaugh and her husband, James of Durham; grandchildren Nicole Della Rocco of Washington, D.C., Drew Cavanaugh of New Orleans, Louisiana, Sean Cavanaugh of West Hartford, and Michael Cavanaugh and his wife, Danielle of San Francisco, California; a great-granddaughter Arden Cavanaugh; Barb Flynn who was like a daughter, of Holiday; a brother Joseph Pepin of Windsor Locks; a sister Theresa Dakin of Vernon; and many nieces and nephews. Beside her husband Richard she was predeceased by a brother Raymond Pepin; and a sister Rita Bogli.

She loved all the activities at the Residence at South Windsor Farms, especially bingo. Rita's family would like to thank the amazing staff at the Residence at South Windsor Farms who became her extended family.

Her family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 6, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Damien of Molokai Parish, St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor. Burial will follow in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
