Robert Hudson Obituary
Rob was born on July 28, 1965 in Hartford and has been a lifelong resident of Enfield. He graduated from Manchester Community College with his associate's degree and attended the University of Connecticut. He was formerly employed with C & S Wholesale Grocers in Windsor Locks.
He and his wife, Lisa, along with their sons, worshipped at Enfield Congregational Church. Rob was a member of the Broad Brook Angling Club because of his love for fishing. Rob enjoyed many sports and watching his favorite New England teams, especially his beloved Boston Red Sox.
Rob is survived by his loving wife, Lisa (Shea) Hudson; his sons, Ryan S. Hudson and Dillon J. Hudson; his parents, Robert W. and Rose M. (Gallo) Hudson of Enfield; his sister, Debra S. St. George of Somers; two nieces, Kaitlyn Smith and Melissa St. George, both of Somers; his aunt, Sue Raugust and her husband, Tony, of Minneapolis, Minn.; and many close friends, especially Tim Fortune and Mike Gillen.
Funeral services in celebration of Rob's life will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the Enfield Congregational Church, 1295 Enfield St., Enfield, CT 06082. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
Rob's family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, July 6, 2009, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Road, Enfield, CT 06082.

hudson family, Iam so sorry to hear of Rob's passing.I hope time will heal your pain.My thoughts and prayers are with you. although i haven't seen rob in many years he had a big impact on my life. I met rob in 7th grade and we became great friends. i have so many great memories of those days.rob's house was like my second home and rose like my second mom. for about three years we were inseperatble. i basically had my own bed there. rob is the one who turned me on to led zeppelin. i remember rocking out to led zep bootleg albums up in his room. i grew to like zeppelin so much i tatooed them on my arm. the one thing that i remember the most is something that rob gave me way back then. my nickname.Rob started calling me moose in seventh grade and it stuck. every time someone calls my name i can thank rob for that. he had a positive effect on every one he met, thats just the kinda guy he was. i will always remember my friend rob, as im sure everyone will.again i an very sorry for your loss. his time was to short on this earth.

Words cannot express the sadness I feel related to the passing of Rob. He had such a unique way of making people laugh. His humor along with everything else about him will be missed. Just sitting around after softball laughing over a couple of beers were some of the most simple and enjoyable times. Kenny would fill me in on his visits with Rob and the progress he was making. We were all blessed for having him in our lives for the last 43 years.
