Sally (Danforth) Sturtevant, 81, of Enfield, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021 at Bickford Health Care. Born in Middletown on March 29, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Helen (Lamb) Danforth and grew up in Deep River before moving to Enfield in 1964.
Sally received her bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut Teachers College and went on to work as a nursery and elementary school teacher for many years in Enfield. She was blessed with a second career as a nanny and cherished the time she had with Alexandra and John Paul Eyvazzedeh.
Sally was a longtime member of Enfield Congregational Church where she served in many capacities over her nearly 60 years there. Her favorite ministry was the many prayer shawls she knit and prayed over.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three loving daughters, Sharon Midyette of Enfield, Cynthia Eisnor and her husband Eric of Windsor and Susan Gann and her husband Chris of Enfield; five cherished grandchildren, Adam Midyette, Andrew and Sarah Eisnor, and Helen and Steven Gann; and her sister, Susan Charter and her husband Sam.
Her memorial service will take place on Saturday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. at Enfield Congregational Church, 1295 Enfield St. Enfield.
