Edgar Simpson 1962—2016
Edgar J. Simpson, 53, passed away February 23, 2016, on the family farm. He was born November 7, 1962, in Chicago, IL to Edgar V. and Gloria (Fabish) Simpson/Wright. He served our country in the United States Air Force. He married Deborah Feltych on November 12, 1988, in Schaumburg, IL. Edgar was a member of the Moon Spinners and Evangelical Free Church Bible study group. He especially loved spending time with his family and being on the farm. He also enjoyed taking care of the cats and sheep. He is survived by his wife; children, Nathaniel Simpson (Whitney Kriz) of Chicago, IL, Benjamin Simpson and Elainna Simpson, both of Winslow, IL; father, Edgar V. Simpson of Freeport, IL; two brothers, Geoff (Nancy) Williams of Rockford, IL and Mike Williams of Shawano, WI, one sister, Patricia (Steve) Friedland of Scottsdale, AZ; mother-in-law, Dolores Feltych of Whitewater, WI; brother-in-law, Bryan Feltych, sister-in-law, Christine (James) Caley; and nieces and nephews, Kevin (Jade) Williams, Sarah (Matt) Fortman, Brianna Feltych, Zach Caley, Avery Caley and Jamison Caley. Edgar was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria, sister, Frances and father-in-law, Chester Feltych.
Funeral Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, February 27, 2016, at the Lena Evangelical Free Church, with visitation from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Erb. Burial will follow the service at Christian Hollow Cemetery. A luncheon following the services will be provided by the Evangelical Free Church and the Sweeney/Sisler families, at the church. A memorial has been established in his memory. Condolences may be sent to the family at leamonfh.com
