Myrtle Neiman Obituary

Myrtle B. Neiman Myrtle B. (Butler) Neiman of Oreland, Springfield Township, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at her home. She was 86. Born May 3, 1927, in Abington, she was the daughter of the late Charles H. and Myrtle (Place) Butler. She was the wife of the late Donald R. Neiman. Mrs. Neiman was a graduate of Abington High School, Class of 1944, and attended Skidmore College. A homemaker, she was active in Abington Choral Club, Order of the Eastern Star, St. Hilda's Guild and the choir at St. Philip-in-the-Fields Church, and the previously existing Music Theatre of Abington and Glenside Kiwanis Blue Circle. She volunteered at Springfield Residences and sewed many of her own clothes. She is survived by a daughter, Christine N. Ciccone of Huntingdon Valley; a son, Leigh R. Neiman of Bensalem; five grandchildren, Matthew R. Neiman, Lisa M. Neiman, Thomas Q. Ciccone III, Christopher G. Ciccone and Craig H. Ciccone; two great-grandchildren, Chiara M. Ciccone and Cayden T. Ciccone; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Edna Butler Briggs. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 14 in St. Philip-in-the-Fields, 317 Oreland Mill Road, Oreland, PA 19075, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. at the church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Vascular Disease Foundation, 550 M. Ritchie Highway PMB-281, Severna Park, MD 21146, or the church at the above address.
