Alan Dwight Reed, 69, of Waverly was called to his Heavenly Home on December 6, 2023, after losing his battle against brain cancer. Born January 14, 1954, in Lincoln, NE to Mervel and Louise (Althouse) Reed.
Alan and his family lived near Waverly. He was a 1972 graduate of Waverly High School.
Alan is survived by his wife of 46 years, Connie; sons Jason (Kara) Reed and Todd (Julia) Reed, all of Lincoln; granddaughters Hannah and Sarah Reed; father Mervel Reed, Waverly; sister Beverly (Tom) Wobig, Waverly; brother Mike Reed, Lincoln; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Larry (Mary) Menebroker, Lincoln, Kenny (Kim) Menebroker, San Antonio, TX; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Charlotte (Chuck) Massar, Springfield, TN; many nieces, nephews and spouses. Preceded in death by his mother Louise, brother Ted, father-in-law Lawrence Menebroker, Sr., niece's husband Shane Siebert.
Memorial service: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, December 12, 2023, Faith Lutheran Church, 8701 Adams St.
Visitation with family present from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, will be held Monday, December 11, 2023, at Roper and Sons Waverly Chapel, 10851 N. 148th St.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Faith Lutheran Church Building Fund or the School.
