Barbara Ann (Culp) Jones, 90, of Lincoln, passed away on September 6, 2025. She was a loving, caring, and selfless mother, wife, grandmother, and aunt. She was extremely proud of her Catholic faith which she shared with her family and others. Barb was very active within the churches she attended and belonged to and supported many Catholic organizations. She embodied all that was good, compassionate, and Christlike. Barb was born in 1935 on a farm near Pleasant Dale, Neb. She was the last of four children born to Ralph and Lydia (Stehlik) Culp.

Barb graduated from Crete high school in 1953. She met her husband Jerry there while he was attending Doane College. They married on December 26, 1953, in Denton, Neb. Barb and Jerry lived in several places before building their retirement home in 1992 on a lake outside of Grand Island, Neb. They remained there until Jerry's death in 2014. Barb then moved back to Lincoln to be close to family. During their marriage they enjoyed vacationing throughout the United States, camping, hiking, dancing, piano bars, and sharing their home with family and friends. Barb cherished her friendships, many of which she maintained since the 1960s.

Barb is survived by her children, Dennis (Sharon) of Grand Junction, Colo., Philip of Shakopee, Minn., Dale (Deb) of Lincoln, Marci Hauck of Greenwood, Neb., and Mike (Chris) of Lincoln; seven grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and her faithful companion, her beloved cat, Marmalade.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 3, 2025, at St John's Catholic Church, 7601 Vine St., in Lincoln, Neb., at 11 a.m. A rosary will be held prior to the mass at 10:30 a.m., at St. John's. Burial will follow the mass at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Crete, Neb., between 2:30 and 2:45 pm. Memorials for Barb can be made in care of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
