Betty J. Rippe, 94 of Syracuse, passed away on Jan. 26, 2021 in Lincoln. She was born on Sept. 29, 1926 to Edward & Ida (Mouden) Gess. Betty married Ray Rippe on Sept. 4, 1948.

Survived by: Children: Sue (Gary) Voss of Lincoln, Steve (Anna) Rippe of Denver, Jan (Jim) Niebuhr of Dunbar; 8 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren; Brother: Charles (Jackie) Gess of Lincoln; Sisters-in-law: Leora Emshoff & Elaine Hennings both of Omaha. Preceded by: Parents, Husband, Sisters: Gladys, Florence, Arlene & Billie.

Public funeral service: Saturday, Jan. 30th at 10:30 A.M. at the First Lutheran Church (North Branch) in rural Avoca. Service will be radio broadcast in the parking lot on 90.9 and livestreamed on the Fusselman Facebook page. Visitation: Friday, Jan. 29th from 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. at the Fusselman-Allen-Harvey F.H. in Syracuse. Memorials to First Lutheran Church (North Branch). Condolences to www.fusselmanallenharvey.com
