Corliss Kay (Brozovsky) Zmiewski was born in Lincoln on March 28, 1947, to Ervin and Adeline (Vlcek) Brozovsky. She graduated from Crete High School.
She married Gustav Zmiewski on November 5, 1966, and they shared 59 years together. Corliss was a devoted homemaker who loved cooking for her family, caring for her flowers, gardening and traveling.
She is survived by her husband, Gustav; children, Anthony (Jodi), Greg, Michele (Don Bogema), and Jamie; grandson, Zachary (Emily); and great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Kazi. She is also survived by her sisters, Verdeen Stratton (Glen) and Denise Griess (Rod), along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ervin and Adeline Brozovsky; parents-in-law, Kasmir and Julia Zmiewski; brothers-in-law, Terry Stratton and Alex Jurys; and sister-in-law, Judy Jurys.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, November 17th at 10:30 a.m. at Cathedral of the Risen Christ, 3500 Sheridan Blvd. Visitation will be Sunday, November 16th from 2:30 to 5 p.m., with Rosary at 5 p.m. at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
