Dan G. Petersen, 84, formerly of Lincoln, passed away December 2, 2025, in Kearney, Neb. Born May 13, 1941, in Milford, Neb., to Verdon and Ruth (Sporer) Petersen.
Dan served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Brunswick Corporation for 33 years as Storekeeper. Dan was a member of the VFW and American Legion Post.
Family members include his sons, Chad Petersen (Amy), Bennet and Bryan Petersen, Plainville, Kan.; and grandchildren, Connor, Kayden, Tasa, and Alexius. Preceded in death by his parents; wife, Caroline; and sister, Patricia Bryant.
Funeral service 1 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2025, Roper and Sons South Lincoln Chapel, 3950 Hohensee Drive.
Visitation one hour prior to service time.
