November 9, 1935 - January 5, 2025
Dean Oswald, 89, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and friend to all who knew him, went home to be with his Savior, Jesus, on January 5, 2025. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Charlotte (Drumm) Oswald (married 2002); and his three daughters, Christy (Jerry) Dallmann of Denver, Kathy (Scott) Stinehagen, and Melodee (David) Saunders, both of St. Louis. He is also survived by seven adoring grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is survived by his stepson, Ken (Marilyn) Busboom; two stepdaughters, Karen Cook and Jo Ann (Jon) all Eicher; along with eight step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
In addition, he is survived by his brother, Ronald Oswald (Milford); Dorothy Eberspacher (Lincoln); and Imogene Roth (Phoenix); as well as many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Irene (Lekai) Oswald; parents, Menno and Esther (Schlegel) Oswald; brothers, Dale and Bill Oswald; and sister, Margie Wolfe.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 15, 2025, at Indian Hills Community Church. The family will receive guests from 10 to 10:30 a.m., followed by the service at 10:30 a.m. A luncheon will be served immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Indian Hills Community Church or the Paul & Neva Grace Foundation, which supports hospice care for those in need.
