Debbie Rose Ziegler was born in Salisbury, Maryland, on April 25, 1958. She went home to Heaven on April 11, 2025. She was the firstborn child of Robert and Janice Jones. Debbie Ziegler went to New York as a young lady to work on a Native American reservation in a Christian day school. When she was 25, she met Edwin Ziegler, and they were married a year later. They continued their work on the reservation for a few more years before moving to a pastorate in Maryland. After one year there, they moved to Butler, PA, where they spent eight years, then to Mahaffey, PA, for another eight years. In 2004, she moved with her family to Lincoln, Nebraska, where she spent the rest of her life. She was a hardworking, caring, thoughtful wife, mother, and nana and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edwin Ziegler; son, Nathanael (Dorcas); daughter, Rebekah (Daniel); and daughter, Emily (Thomas). She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and her brother, Mike Jones; and sister, Dianne Jones.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon followed by a funeral service at 12 noon on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln. Condolences: www.bmlfh.com.
