Ervin Dvorak was born on April 17, 1938, on Easter Sunday in Bee, Neb. to Frank and Julia Dvorak and passed away on November 9, 2025, in Overland Park, Kan. at the age of 87.

Ervin was raised on a farm and attended elementary country school at Bethlehem District School and graduated from Garland, Neb. High School. He served in the Naval Air Service; graduated from the Electronic Technology Program and graduated Cum Laude, BSEE, Electronic Engineering from the University of Missouri.

He was employed with General Dynamics Astronautics, McDonnell Aircraft Corporation, U.S. Naval Air Engineering, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) as an Electronic Engineer and as an Aerospace Engineer with Aircraft Certification until his retirement in 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Kathryn of Olathe, Kan.; daughter, Lynn Dvorak of Kansas City; son, Matthew and wife, Polly of Olathe, Kan.; daughter, Brenda and husband, Lee Cunningham of Orlando, Fla.; five grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Kallen, London, and Ben; sisters, Patricia Hafer of Lincoln, Neb., and Joyce Specht of Wilmington, Dela.

A Rosary will be Prayed at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at with a Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:30 a.m., both at Assumption Catholic Church Dwight, Neb., Celebrated by Father Jamie Hottovy. Graveside services and Interment will be held at Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Dwight, Neb. with full military honors provided by the United States Navy and the Dwight American Legion Post #110.
