James L. Isemann, 53, of Lincoln, NE died on August 11, 2022.Dr. Isemann was born October 9, 1968 to Louis & Marion (Guastafeste) in Creve Coeur, MO. James graduated from St. Charles High School in Missouri, received his Doctorate Degree from Kansas State University and undergraduate and master's degree from Truman State University.
Preceded in death by his father.Survived by his mother, Marion; wife, Nikki; daughters, Heidi Isemann (Blake Mangan), Ellie Isemann; brother Bill Isemann; mother & father-in-law, Del & Susan (Powell) Phillips; many friends, Southeast Community College colleagues and former students.
At the request of the Isemann family there will be no public viewing/visitation. Jim's wishes were for cremation. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time. Memorials are suggested to the Southeast Community College Global Education Scholarship or the American Cancer Fund (Brain Cancer).Funeral arrangements entrusted to Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street, Lincoln 68510.

Jim was a great colleague and friend at SCC. One of his many impressive achievements was navigating a difficult contract negotiations during our school's transition a couple years back. He was a patient, intelligence and gracious negotiator as well as a deeply ethical and caring man. He will be missed.

So very sorry to Nikki and the girls on the loss of Jim. Jim was always so nice to me at SCC and I heard many complements from students about what a great positive Instructor he was. He will be missed by SCC and so many others.
