Jan Ava Studnicka, 89, of Lincoln, passed away August 12, 2025. Born September 26, 1935, in Ainsworth, Neb., to Everett and Leola (Barker) Lee.

Jan worked for Carol Wright Gifts. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, was a huge Husker fan, enjoyed scrapbooking, crafting, and listening to family musicians.

Family members include her sons, Bob (Reta) Studnicka and Mark Studnicka; daughters, Chris (Kelly) McGovern, Julie (Bill) Franklin, Beth (Scott) Hartley, and Mary Kay (Kirk) Kallas, all of Lincoln; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Thomas; and sister, Marybel Lehl.

Services were held on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Cathedral of the Risen Christ with burial in the Calvary Cemetery.

Jan was a good friend with my mother. They worked together at Carol Wright and were in a friends group together. I am sorry for your loss. I am sure she is laughing it up with my mom in heaven.
