Kathleen "Kay" Helen Mullin (Stillinger), 85, died Sunday, April 10, 2022 in Lincoln, NE. Kay was born in 1936 in Albion, Nebraska to Earle "Stilly" and Florence "Peg" Stillinger of Albion. She graduated from Albion High School in 1954, and attended the University of Missouri, Columbia. On October 31, 1959, she married Michael Joseph Mullin in Albion, NE. During their 61 years together they lived in Nebraska, Colorado, Texas, Maine, and New Hampshire, returning to Nebraska upon retirement to be closer to family. They lived in Hickman, Holland, and Lincoln NE. After raising her children, Kay worked for the investment and security firms Paine Weber and A.G. Edwards. She was a Master Gardener and volunteered for her local Nebraska extension office.
Kay is survived by her children Monica (Doug) Holland, Melinda Mullin, Daniel (Linda) Mullin, Timothy (Cherie) Mullin, Celia (Jon) Schatzky, and Matthew Mullin; ten grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; her siblings Richard Stillinger and Anne Lien, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Jerold Eugene and Earle Kenneth Stillinger.
A Celebration of her life is planned for 10:30 AM on June 24, 2022 at St. Michaels Catholic Church, 524 W. Church Street, Albion 68620. Inurnment in the Catholic Cemetery in Albion will follow under the direction of Father Tomasiewicz. For condolences, please visit www.bmlfh.com.
