Kerry Snell Obituary
September 22, 1966 - July 12, 2025
Kerry Lee Snell, 58, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 12. He was born Sept 22, 1966, in Franklin, NE, to Larry and Gaylene Snell. After graduating from York High School, he served six years in the National Guard Reserves. Kerry spent most of his career working for Stephens and Smith Construction in Lincoln. He contributed to many family homes as well as commercial buildings in his tenure, and believed in doing quality work.
Kerry loved many outdoor activities like hunting and fishing, and his family will forever have fond memories of him taking great care of all the novice campers on extended family camping trips. He enjoyed watching cooking shows and sharing his passion and recipe ideas with others.
Kerry was known for his tenacity, once playing a football game with a broken arm and persevering through decades of hard work. He also had a protective nature, whether that be calling family members to alert them about threatening weather coming their way, or checking in on a niece or nephew.
Kerry is survived by his siblings, Deb (Dwight) Hansen of York, Kim (David) Blaser of Malcolm, Denise (Tim) Brown of Lincoln, Darcy (Gary) Arnold of Lincoln, and Kurt Snell of York. He had fifteen nieces and nephews; five grand-nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his work family at Stephens and Smith. Kerry was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Gaylene Snell, brother Kevin Snell, nephew Adam Hansen, and niece Kirsten Snell. To honor Kerry's wishes, there will be a private gathering at a family campsite along the Platte River. Please visit trumpmemorials.com to leave condolences/memories/comments.
