Lily Hans Obituary

Lily Hans

Lily Greve Hans passed away peacefully on June 20, 2025. Born in Marseille, France, to Jan and Anne Greve. Lily graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. She met her husband (Bob) while working in San Fransico. They married in 1962 and moved to Lincoln to raise their children. Lily and Bob were married for 52 years. Lily served on the Red Cross Board of Directors, Broadway Theatre League, Lincoln General Hospital Auxiliary, and Community Women's Club. Lily volunteered in the early days of Educational Television (ETV) and assisted with the ETV auctions. Lily worked for Project HELP, the Lincoln Area Agency on Aging (Aging Partners), and the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). Her most notable, long-lasting achievement was starting the Lincoln/Lancaster County TRIAD program. Hans was recognized in 2014 by the Department of Health and Human Services with the Elder Abuse Prevention Advocate of the Year Award.

Survivors include son, Bryce of Long Beach, Calif; daughter, Monica of Omaha; grandchildren, Tyler, Jack, and Elinor; and sister and brother-in-law, Dianna and Bob DeGraff of Kentfield, Calif.

Celebration of Life - 10 a.m. Friday, Sept 5th at the Unitarian Church 6300 "A" St. Lincoln.
