Linda Parker Obituary

Linda G. Parker

September 28, 1948 - June 15, 2025

Santa Clara, Utah Linda G. Parker passed away on June 15, 2025, at Spring Gardens Senior Living, St. George, Utah. Linda was born on September 28, 1948, in St. Paul, Nebraska to Willard Earl Rachow and Wanda Mae Steyer. Linda married Gary Parker on December 14, 1974, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Linda dedicated over three decades of her professional life as a paralegal and administrator for Cline Williams Wright Johnson and Oldfather Law Firm, where her dedication, attention to detail, and unwavering commitment earned her the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Her work ethic and steady hand helped shape a workplace culture rooted in professionalism and compassion.

In 2012, Linda and Gary retired to the red-rock beauty of southern Utah nearly 15 years ago after raising their family in the Midwest. Drawn by the landscape but stayed by the people, they made Santa Clara, Utah their home a place where strangers quickly became friends, and friends soon became extended family.

Beyond her career, Linda found joy and purpose in the simplest yet most meaningful ways. An avid reader, she was rarely without a book in hand and loved sharing stories and recommendations with friends and family. Her generosity extended far beyond words - she lovingly crocheted hats and mittens for children in need, ensuring warmth and care found their way to little hands and hearts. Linda was also a devoted volunteer at the local soup kitchen, where she served meals with a warm smile and a listening ear. More than anything, Linda treasured time with her family and friends. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and love.

Her quiet acts of service reflected her deep belief in the importance of giving back. Whether through a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, or her tireless volunteer efforts, she touched the lives of many in ways that will not be forgotten.

Linda is survived by her loving husband, Gary; daughters Angela Murphy (Lincoln), Nicole Parker (Omaha), Megan Parker (Omaha); her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; sibling Kevin Rachow (Lincoln).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Wanda Rachow; and her beloved dog, Jasper.

The family would like to thank Dixie Home Hospice and Spring Gardens Senior Living for all of your love and support.

A Celebration of Life will be in St. George, Utah at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in her honor to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah, which she faithfully supported.

Linda's gentle spirit and boundless compassion will live continuously in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
